Highway traffic gets first glimpse of 37 tons of steel being set in place for new bridge

Arborio Corporation was set to start Stage I of the steel erection Monday night for the new Brainard Road Bridge. With no rain in the forecast, each 7 ton piece of steel girder was gently lifted into place and secured. Trafiic was minimally interrrupted. The remaining girders will be set in place tonight after dark.
